In a special one-night-only performance, The Improfessors will be teaming up with Los Angeles comedian Anand Chulani in a charity improv show to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Hong Kong.
Trained in comedy improvisation at the world-renowned Groundlings in L.A. and Second City in Chicago, Chulani is an experienced comedian who has performed with the likes of Russell Peters, Borat, Martin Lawrence and Arsenio Hall. After seeing The Improfessors (Stephen Smeed, Sharla Beaver, Eric Linebarger, Meg Teckman and brand-new member Casey Hare) in their sell-out show Improv Royale on May 8 and 9, Chulani approached them with the idea of a joint impromptu performance. For their upcoming show, Straight Up Improv on Saturday, May 23, Chulani will direct and perform a series of good-old fashioned improv games with The Improfessors.
Presented by Green Room Enterprise, and sponsored by Carlsberg, Straight Up Improv will be donating 100% of all ticket sales to the Ronald McDonald House of Hong Kong.

About Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House is the cornerstone project of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Hong Kong House is Asia's first House. Since 1996, it has helped families in Hong Kong, China and Macau in coping with the trials and tribulations of a seriously ill child. Ronald McDonald House provides a resting-place in lieu of hospital corridors and floors, and is a source of additional strength and stability for families when a child is seriously ill.

The battle lines have been drawn, the teams have been chosen and on May 8 and 9, The Improfessors will meet in a head to head match for improv supremacy!
At the bell, The Improfessors (Stephen Smeed, Eric Linebarger, Sharla Beaver and Meg Teckman) will come out swinging and won’t stop until the knockout joke has been delivered! Armed with their best wits, the two teams will compete in a series of improv games that will be selected at random during the show. To win each round in this match of funny, The Improfessors will have to impress the audience who will ultimately decide which team deserves to be crowned champions.

April 14-18, 2009:
We are excited to announce a special 5-day workshop during the Easter holiday where students aged 9-13 will write and star in their own radio drama! This intensive workshop will be taught by Elephant Community Press and Green Room Enterprise teachers and will teach students not only to write a radio drama, but also to create sound effects and perform the script for recording! Every student will finish the workshop with a copy of their final script and a DVD of their performance.
